Spring has Sprung!

We were just merrily driving along a road on the Isle of Wight at the weekend, when by the side of the road we saw this....isnt he gorgeous!

Rose

I made three of these little roses for my cousin and Aunty. The pearl in the middle is from my Great-Gran's necklace that had broken. The rose was quite simple to make, just stocking stitch with decreases, the hardest part was sewing it up.

Teddy Bear

This is a teddy bear I made quite a while ago, but never got round to taking a picture of, but the sun was shining this morning and my camera was just there, so I seized the moment. This is one of the projects I am most proud of, and it has pride of place on my shelf.

Lacy Pencil Case

This is a little bit of lace I did to decorate my pencil case. I was a bit worried about sizing. It wasnt worth doing a tension square because it was such a little project but it was my first time doing lace and I can never bear to undo my knitting. It was a little wide, but I turned the edges under when sewing it on, and I am really pleased with it.

Knitted Gingerbread House

Last year, I went to see the Knitted Gingerbread House in Brighton. Here are a few pictures of it. Isnt it incredible!

Pullover

This is a pullover I did a little white ago. It is a wildly altered pattern! I made it using Patons Jet as a substitute of Rowan Little Big Wool and it worked really well. Sadly Patons Jet is now discontinued :(

Mini Socks....lots of them!

Lately I've been knitting mini socks...they really are quite addictive little things! I am not sure what I will do with them. They might be decorations for the tree, or if I get 24 I will make them into an advent calendar. Doesnt hurt to plan ahead for once now, does it?
